Adhesions after gynecological surgery are a common but often underestimated problem. The systematic review by Schäfer et al. (2024) analyzed the current study situation on adhesion prevention in gynecological surgery – with important findings for endometriosis therapy.

Conclusion of the review:
✅ Adhesions occur after almost every operation and can have serious long-term consequences.
✅ Modern adhesion barriers such as 4DryField® PH can help to significantly reduce these risks.
✅ Standardized use of such protective measures could improve the quality of life of many patients.
