The self-help groups have been trying for years to support those affected and to remove the taboo surrounding endometriosis. This is how this topic finally found its way into the Bundestag. Despite social media, education, research, early detection programs and care services for this gynaecological disease are still far from reaching the desired level.

For this reason, an information evening will be held on March 13 at the University Hospital of Würzburg under the motto “When unclear lower abdominal pain gets a name: ENDOMETRIOSIS” starting at 6 pm. The focus will be on endometriosis, the pain associated with it and the desire to have children with endometriosis. As attendance is free of charge but participation is limited, registration is still possible until 01.03.2024.
