The ongoing endometriosis study: ASPIRE

Previous studies on adhesion prevention have focused almost exclusively on the reduction of adhesions – but what does this actually mean for patients? What are the long-term benefits for quality of life, for example?
To close this gap, we are currently supporting a randomized, controlled multicenter study led by the Albertinenkrankenhaus Hamburg.

What is the goal?
With almost 400 patients included and a one-year follow-up, clear answers should be provided:

✅ How does effective adhesion prophylaxis influence the postoperative outcome?
✅ How does the prevention of adhesions affect general quality of life and patient satisfaction?

Why is this important?
Effective adhesion prophylaxis can not only reduce adhesions – it can help to sustainably improve overall post-operative well-being. And the better the data on these benefits, the faster the use of clinically proven adhesion barriers such as 4DryField® PH can become the standard of care.
