PlantTec Medical and HR Hospitalar are delighted to support the course “Gynaecological….” which will take place from 25 to 27 May at the School of Medicine, University of Minho, in Portugal. This three-day course and hands-on workshop aims to train participants in the art and science of laparoscopic suturing and provide them with step-by-step techniques for performing laparoscopic gynaecological procedures. Opportunities will be provided to learn and perform laparoscopic dissection and the use of various forms of energies (electrosurgery, ultrasound, staples) on live tissue.

Lectures will be evidence-based and include extensive surgical videos.

The hands-on session will include EXTRAPERITONEAL pelvic and lombo-aortic lymphadenectomy on live mini-pigs in the experimental laboratory.

Other topics include laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis and oncological scenarios, pelvic reconstruction, normal and abnormal anatomy, and COMPLICATIONS (identification and resolution by laparoscopy in a swine model).
There will be an opportunity for participants to try out 4DryField^® PH minilaparoscopic instruments, new 3D laparoscopy cameras and the very recent ICG imaging systems.
